Make a Gift to the Jean and Art Baiden Endowment for Cancer Survivors Park
A message from Annalynn Baiden Barnett and Hamilton Baiden:
Our mom, Jean Baiden was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1996 and underwent a mastectomy followed by chemo, radiation, and several years of oral chemo medication. After a 16 year period of remission, she continued her fight in 2012 after the cancer had metastasized in her bones. She and our father were always focused on living life with the disease and not allowing the disease to become their lives. They loved the concept of a place for hope and healing for all touched by cancer because they knew firsthand that a diagnosis affects more than just the patient being treated. As part of the initial CSPA Capital Campaign and early donors, they believed in the vision of how an eyesore in Greenville could be transformed to a restorative healing place for all of us. Their goal was that regardless of how my mother’s disease progressed (she passed away in 2020), not only their family but others could find peace, hope, and education through the park. Because of that, we are committed to insuring the longevity and sustainability of the Park and its programs through the CSPA Endowment.
