Joe Pazdan was a Greenville native and a founding member of McMillan Pazdan Smith
Architecture. Although Joe lost his earthly battle to glioblastoma (brain cancer) in April 2023, his legacy will continue to touch the lives of many in our community.
To celebrate Joe’s life, Pazdan’s Peloton is a stationary cycling event raising funds for the Cancer Survivors Park Alliance (CSPA) to continue the vision to change the way we live with cancer. Ginny, Virginia, Allie and Martin Pazdan wish to support the continued lighting of the Beacon of Hope Spire. 20 bikes will be available at the Celebration of Hope Pavilion at the Cancer Survivors Park. Four 30 minute class sessions will be led by certified instructors from Prisma Health Life Center Health and Conditioning Club.
“In the spirit of honoring my Dad’s legacy, we have organized Pazdan’s Peloton. My Dad loved to cycle! It wasn’t just a hobby or a form of exercise, it was a way of life. Dad loved riding with Mom on the Swamp Rabbit Trail but also going to spin classes with me at the Life Center when I was living in Greenville. Pazdan’s Peloton isn’t just an event, it’s a celebration of my Dad’s life and an opportunity to give back to the community he invested so much in. Can’t wait to meet you under the Beacon of Hope Spire.”

Pazdan’s Peloton 2025 will raise funds to support both the Cancer Survivors Park Alliance (CSPA) and Neighborhood Cancer Connection (NCC), with proceeds evenly split between the two organizations. Every dollar will help sustain vital operations that promote cancer prevention, support, and survivorship in our community.
