Almost everyone has been touched by cancer – as a cancer patient, a caregiver, family member or one who has lost a loved one to cancer. We understand the struggles as well as the joys that can be found in even life’s most difficult moments. In creating the Celebration of Hope Pavilion, we seek to provide a venue where the entire community can come together to share stories and memories and celebrate the joy of living a full and purposeful life.

The impact of cancer does not stop when treatment ends. Many survivors have questions and desire information about living with cancer throughout their lives. In creating the Center for Hope & Healing, we seek to offer engaging programs that help survivors regain a sense of control of their lives, connect with the resources they need to live beyond cancer and engage in healthy behaviors to help prevent it.

Living with cancer involves more than battling the disease. It also involves dealing with fear, uncertainty, and feelings of loss of control over one’s lives. In creating the park, we seek to guide survivors along the path to renewal and wellness by creating a healing environment, teaching the skills to move beyond cancer and providing innovative opportunities for everyone to become engaged in the journey towards wholeness.

Nature is the perfect demonstration of change and renewal and serves as an ever-present reminder of the fragility and sacredness of life. By incorporating powerful sculpture and stores of survivorship into the backdrop of a park, we seek to inspire survivors to become actively engaged in the process of healing.
