Laura Coleman Nickles was born and raised in Greenville, SC. At Greenville High, she served as Student Body President which laid the foundation of her passion for nonprofit work. She then went on to study history and political science at Presbyterian College before returning to Greenville.
“I have always had a desire to serve the Greenville Community. I felt called to CSPA as I am the ‘survivor’ of several different family members who have battled with cancer. My favorite golf buddy Uncle; Robert William Nickles lost his battle with Lung Cancer in 2011 and my crazy cool namesake Aunt; Laura Dabney McGrady beat cervical cancer in 2009 thanks to early detection. I am so thankful for my family’s survivor story and how they have influenced me individually.”
“I am honored to be part of the good work CSPA does to shape the way our community sees and deals with cancer. I hope that Greenville’s ‘survivor’ community will find the Park as restorative and healing as I do!”
